The Ewokian is a hybrid dog breed that is a mix between a Pomeranian and a Havanese. Here are some things to know about both breeds:
• Havanese
A toy dog breed that originated in Cuba, Havanese are known for their long, silky double coat and friendly, alert temperament:
◦ Size: Havanese are small dogs, standing 8.5–11.5 in tall and weighing 7–13 lbs.
◦ Coat: Havanese have a long, silky double coat that can be straight or wavy, and
comes in many colors and patterns.
◦ Temperament: Havanese are intelligent, playful, bright, and even-tempered.
◦ Health: Havanese are susceptible to bacterial and viral infections, and can also develop eye conditions. Spaying or neutering can help reduce the risk of certain cancers and eliminate the possibility of unwanted pregnancies.
• Ewokian
A small hybrid with medium energy, Ewokians are good for apartment living. They need daily exercise, but can get most of it indoors with short runs and quick bursts of energy. Ewokians that resemble Pomeranians prefer cooler climates, while those that resemble Havanese prefer warmer climates.
